Privacy

This site does not ask for personal information. It counts visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics and sets no cookies of its own.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and how fast they load, using real visitors' page loads. Cloudflare describes it as privacy-first analytics that does not collect visitors' personal data. We use the totals to decide which pages to improve.

The embeddable calculator on other sites does not load the analytics script.

What stays in your browser

The calculator remembers your material choice in your browser's local storage under the name tds-material. It never leaves your device. The thread you pick is also written into the page address, so you can bookmark or share it.

The site installs a service worker that keeps a copy of the pages and charts so they work offline. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

What the host logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which may keep standard server logs such as IP address and requested page. We do not receive or use them.

Third parties

The pages load no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers. Source links point to other sites, which have their own policies.

The contact form and email

If you use the Contact link in the footer, your message, and your email address if you add one, are sent to us by email through Cloudflare. The site does not store them. The popup runs Cloudflare Turnstile, a short spam check in your browser, and loads it only when you open the popup. If you write to contact@tapdrillsize.com instead, we see your address and message. We use either only to answer you.
